Edward Bear Club – URGENT. Will return after Christmas on 17th January. They need help setting up and putting away. If you are able to help please speak to either Peter or Anne.
Serving the Homeless – present Sunday Lunch at Affinity Restaurant, London Road on Sunday 28th January at 12.30 pm. Tickets £20. Please see Lynda Bartholomew if you are interested.
Joint Deanery Service – Sunday 14th January, 3.15 pm at St Barnabas Church, Hadleigh – starting the New Year together.
Safeguarding – Peter F has been reviewing our Safeguarding Policy over the last month as we prepared to launch our new website. He has been advised by the Diocese Office that no photographs of children should be posted on websites and social media without written parental consent. There will be forms available in Church.
Bulletin – The January edition of Bulletin is now ready and in the letter rack. There are also some Christmas Greetings leaflets that have not been collected. If you receive the Bulletin in any form then there is a named Greetings leaflet for you. Any contributions for the Bulletin can be left for me in the same place. Thank you. Barbara Southward
Week of Prayer for Christian Unity – On 21st January Monsignor Andrew McFadden QHC, Senior R.C. Chaplin to Royal Navy and Vicar General to HM Forces will be our guest preacher. The Revd Sister Nikki Thornhill, Church Army, will be preaching on 28th January.
Beetle Drive – tickets will be on sale next week. £6 adults and £3 children. Supper provided, please bring your own drinks.
May Day Fair – this year we would like to have a Grand Draw instead of the raffle. We will need three “good” main prizes. If you are able to help or have contacts with local businesses that may be prepared to donate please speak to one of the Social and Fundraising Team.
Mothers’ Union – Our AGM will be on Monday, 22nd January. We will begin with Corporate Communion at 12 noon. Followed by a Soup and Roll lunch. Meeting to begin at 1.30 pm with Father David in the chair. There will be a nominal charge of £2.50 for the lunch with any ‘Profit’ going to the Overseas Fund. Please advise Sheila if you are not going to be there for lunch. As ever, any member of the congregation who would care to join us will be most welcome.
